Dear Baltimore,

Last month, the Administration announced that City Hall would reopen to the public in April. Today, the Baltimore City Council will host its first in-person council meeting since the COVID pandemic forced the entire country to quarantine in March 2020.

We made it through mask mandates, vaccines and boosters, COVID tests and multiple variants of this virus, and we will continue to follow the Administration's lead on how we come back together safely.

To that end, the Council would like for those who plan to join us to be prepared to re-enter City Hall. The following procedures will take place:

  1. The City Council meeting will be held on the 4th Floor, in the Council Chamber, at 5:00 p.m. The meeting agenda will be published on Legistar and limited number of hard copies will be available
  2. The meeting will broadcast live on Charm TV 25 and streamed on charmtvbaltimore.com for those who are not able to attend in person.
  3. Members of the general public who plan to attend will have to complete a COVID health check-in at the entrance of City Hall. This process may take some time, so please be patient and allow yourself extra time to enter the building.
  4. Masks are required inside the Council Chambers.

I also want to inform you that updates have been made to the council meeting schedule. First, the council meeting scheduled for Monday, April 11th has been cancelled. The meeting scheduled for Monday, May 2nd has been rescheduled to Monday, April 25th. Click here to download the revised council meeting schedule.

We look forward to welcoming you back into City Hall safely, and will continue to work with the administration to build on the progress of legislative openness and transparency we were able to expand upon during the pandemic.

In service,

Signature of City Council President Nick J. Mosby

Nick J. Mosby
