A graduate of the University of Maryland School of Social Work, Brittany Lewis has actively worked to address inequities across the state of Maryland, including with the ACLU in their education reform department. She also served as the assistant coordinator of the Maryland Women of Color Network.
Through her work with underserved populations, she used outreach efforts to break down systemic barriers that perpetuate the cycle of gender-based violence. In 2019, Brittany worked with Vice President Kamala Harris on her presidential campaign.
Brittany was a champion in Annapolis alongside President Mosby to promote the former delegate’s legislative agenda in the Maryland General Assembly. She oversees government affairs for the Office of the City Council President to advance President Mosby’s legislative policy prescriptions.
