Sharon Green Middleton has had the opportunity to represent the 6th District communities of: Ashburton, Coldspring, Coldspring Newtown, Cross Keys, Cylburn, East/West Arlington, Evergreen, Forrest Park, Garrison Hill, Garwyn Oaks, Hidden Circle, Langston Hughes, Levindale, New Columbus Drive, Park Heights, Roland Park, The Woodlands at Coldspring, Windsor Hills, Woodberry, etc. Councilwoman Middleton has served on a variety of committees that have enhanced community recognition and empowerment.
Councilwoman Middleton has continued to demonstrate the proven ability to bring together communities by developing community identity and fostering community leadership. She works tirelessly to make the 6th District equipped for preparedness in the 21st Century. She was elected to serve her first term after her appointment in 2007. Councilwoman Middleton maintains an annual Community Leadership/Awards Breakfast Event, disseminates an informational bi-annual newsletter "Middleton’s Media," and has an Outreach Community Space established in Garwyn Medical Center within the District, for community meetings and other various neighborhood needs.
Councilwoman Middleton’s professional and community efforts have been highly recognized by organizations such as: Garwyn Oaks Community Association, Maryland Coalition of Women for Responsive Government, Inc., and the Greater Baltimore Chapter of the Patuxent Women’s Coalition.
She has shown exemplary public service background and extensive experience in education/and career development programs. She is also a member of the Coldspring and The Woodlands at Coldspring Community Associations; Women’s Civic League, Inc.; Women Power, Inc.; Maryland Association of Counties; National Association of Counties; St. Bernardine Church and Morgan State University Alumni Association, Inc.
Councilwoman Middleton is a proud native of Baltimore, Maryland and graduate of Morgan State University. She is a wife and devoted mother of one son, who is a graduate of Baltimore City College High School.
