Councilmember's Bio:

Antonio “Tony” Glover is a lifelong resident of East Baltimore. Tony attended Baltimore City Public Schools and briefly Sojourner-Douglass College, where he studied Business Administration. At an early age, Tony learned the importance of helping and giving back to his community. He worked closely with the late City Councilwoman Bea Gaddy, a tireless homeless advocate.

Tony is a co-founder of the BEST Democratic Club and was elected for two terms to the Baltimore City State Central Committee (BCSCC) beginning in 2014. Tony was voted by the committee to serve as its 2nd Vice Chair.

Prior to this accomplishment, Tony worked from 1998 to 2014 for the Baltimore City Department of Public Works. Over that time, he worked in many capacities, including roles in parks, pest controller and solid waste divisions. He also served as acting supervisor of the Mechanical Street Sweeping Operation.

From 2014 until his inauguration as councilman, Tony worked as a community liaison and crime control and prevention coordinator under the leadership of State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby in the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office. Tony knows first-hand what it takes to make our community cleaner, greener and safer.
