History of the City Council

Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, City Council President The Top Neighborhood Dads Contest is part of my ongoing effort to refocus the City’s resources and energy toward “Investing Where Baltimore Lives.” Last month, it gave me great pleasure to recognize Baltimore’s Top Moms. This afternoon, it is a privilege to honor dedicated men who have given selflessly to keep Baltimore’s neighborhoods strong, clean, and safe.

I say this having grown up the daughter of a famous fighter, someone who never backed down if he thought he was right: Pete Rawlings. My father spent his whole professional career in service to this City, demanding accountability and striving for excellence. His legacy-a public servant until his final days-is with me each day I step into City Hall.

Stephanie Rawlings-Blake
President, Baltimore City Council
