BALTIMORE, MD – "I am deeply saddened and heartbroken by the passing of former Del. Ruth M. Kirk.

Del. Kirk was a longtime state legislator, who spent nearly three decades working to improve the lives of countless Baltimoreans, leaving an indelible mark on her beloved City of Baltimore along the way.

As a resident of Baltimore’s 44th legislative district I had the opportunity to witness first-hand Del. Kirk’s passion for serving the citizens of Baltimore.

My thoughts and prayers continue to be with Del. Kirk’s family during what is certainly a difficult period."
