STATEMENT FROM CITY COUNCIL PRESIDENT REGARDING SHOOTING AT JOHNS HOPKINS HOSPITAL

BALTIMORE, MD – “The shooting today at Johns Hopkins Hospital was a senseless and tragic act. The Johns Hopkins community, working with authorities from the Baltimore City Police Department, acted swiftly to ensure the safety of the hospital’s many patients, visitors, employees and students.

I am extremely heartbroken and saddened by the loss of life and injury caused by today’s triple shooting, but I am confident that the resiliency of the Johns Hopkins community and City of Baltimore will allow us to gracefully rise from this dark period and time of grief.”
