CITY COUNCIL PRESIDENT BERNARD C. "JACK" YOUNG'S STATEMENT ON THE PASSING OF GRACE AND NICHOLAS D'ADAMO, SR.

BALTIMORE, MD –“My heart is extremely heavy as I mourn the passing of Grace and Nicholas D’Adamo, Sr., loving parents of my colleague and dear friend Councilman Nicholas D’Adamo, Jr.

My service with Nick on the City Council granted me the opportunity to also befriend his parents, who were gracious beyond words. I regularly teased Councilman D’Adamo in front of his parents by saying that voters had elected him by mistake. It was his father, Nicholas D’Adamo, Sr., who they really wanted, I’d joke.

The beauty about Mr. and Mrs. D’Adamo was that in addition to being anchors in their East Baltimore community, they were loving individuals who took time out to appreciate life’s simple pleasures.

My thoughts and prayers are with the entire D’Adamo family.”
