| automatic-lighting-shutoff requirements; requiring the use of a room key to activate |
| the lighting in sleeping units of hotels, motels, boarding houses, and similar |
| buildings; correcting, clarifying, and conforming related provisions; and providing |
| for the application of this Ordinance to all new construction or substantial |
| improvements for which a permit application is filed on or after January 1, 2013. |

| purpose and process of issuing fines and citations; to address issues of due process, |

| transparent and equitable for the residents of Baltimore City. |

| FOR the purpose of expressing support for increasing the state cigarette tax by $1 |
| per pack, along with a similar increase to the tax on other tobacco products, with |

| state health improvement process and other community based health initiatives |
| including those that address childhood obesity or long term care for seniors; and |
| improved access to health care services for Maryland families. |
